Mobile App Data Collection

Gemstone Lights mobile applications may request access to certain device capabilities to support lighting system features.

Location data

Location permissions may be used for features such as device discovery, network configuration, accessing the current Wi-Fi network name, pairing lighting controllers, and calculating sunrise and sunset automation schedules. The app may collect approximate or precise location information when required for these functions.

Microphone data is processed locally within the app and transmitted directly to the lighting controller through a local connection. Microphone data is not transmitted to or stored on external servers.

Camera usage

The app may request access to the device camera for device pairing or setup processes such as scanning configuration codes.

Device identifiers

The app may collect device identifiers or technical identifiers needed to maintain app functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compatibility with lighting hardware.

App analytics

The app may collect crash logs, diagnostics information, and performance data to improve reliability and user experience.
