Deck Lights That Look Built In

Gemstone Lights deck lights are small recessed smart LEDs set flush into deck boards, stair treads and risers, posts and walkways. The wiring runs underneath the boards, so in daylight all you notice is a neat metal ring. After sunset each one becomes a point of light that marks a step, an edge or a corner.

Plenty of homes around North Atlanta sit on sloped lots, with the deck a full story above the yard and a long flight of stairs down to the grass. Lighting those stairs is about safety first. Once every tread is visible, the deck becomes a place you want to stay long after the sun goes down.

Put them on a sunset timer with smart scheduling, brighten them as part of your security lighting, or pair them with patio lights overhead for a backyard that is lit from top to bottom.

Flush, Secure and Ready for Foot Traffic

Each light is held by a metal Deck Ring, so it stays put through daily use, dogs, chairs being dragged across the boards and gusty storms. On busy stair treads an optional recessed spacer sets the lens just below the ring, clear of boots, furniture legs and the odd shovel.

Your dealer plans the layout and installs every light individually to suit the deck. Each one stays easy to reach if it ever needs service. You choose the finishing details during the consultation.

  • Deck Ring finishes: Black, Gunmetal or Silver
  • Clear or frosted caps
  • Optional recessed spacer for stair treads

Stair Lights Outdoors, in Any Color

Outdoor stair lights usually come in one fixed color picked at the hardware store. These LED deck lights offer over 14 million colors plus a dedicated warm white, put out up to 46 lumens each, or 60 to 100 lumens per foot, and dim down as far as you like.

At full bright white a light draws no more than 1 watt, and other colors draw less, so leaving the steps lit from dusk to bedtime costs very little.

Keep a gentle warm white most nights, switch to red and green in December, or match the roofline when the whole house runs a pattern from the Gemstone Lights app.

How Deck Lights Get Installed

  1. Step 1: Consultation

We talk through how you use the deck at night, then you choose caps and a ring finish.

  2. Step 2: Custom plan

Your dealer maps where each light goes across the boards, treads, risers, posts and paths.

  3. Step 3: Installation

Every light is set flush and individually installed, with the wiring tucked under the deck.

  4. Step 4: App setup

The deck lights join your Gemstone Lights app, alongside any track, patio or flood lights you already have.

The warranty can be transferred once, within the 10-year warranty period, to a new homeowner who contacts Gemstone Lights directly within 90 days of taking possession of the home. The new owner receives the remaining coverage up to a maximum of 2 years, provided at least 2 years remain; if less than 2 years remain, the new owner inherits the remaining balance.
