Residential Track Lights
Permanent Outdoor Lights
for Every Night of the Year
Gemstone Lights® track lights sit in a slim channel matched to your trim, so North Atlanta homes look tidy by day and glow warm white, or any color you like, after dark.
One Install, Lit for Every Season
Permanent outdoor lights put an end to the yearly ladder routine. Your Gemstone Lights Atlanta crew mounts a run of smart LEDs along the roofline once, and after that you decide what it does from your phone: a soft warm white on an ordinary Tuesday, red and green through December, team colors on game day.
For homeowners in Gwinnett, Forsyth and North Fulton, that means no plastic clips on the gutters, no extension cords snaking across the lawn and no hunting for the one dead bulb that took out a whole strand. The LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours, and the track shelters them from the sun and the summer downpours that wear seasonal strings out in a year or two.
Most owners run warm white most nights for an architectural look, then pick holiday patterns in the Gemstone Lights app when the season comes. If Christmas is the main reason you are here, our permanent Christmas lights page covers the holiday side in more detail.
Track Built for Your Roofline
No two rooflines around Atlanta are quite alike. A craftsman with deep eaves, a brick colonial with a boxed soffit and a modern farmhouse with almost no overhang each need different hardware. Gemstone forms its track on its own machines and offers several profiles, so your installer can fit nearly any soffit and fascia, wood or aluminum.
On a typical soffit, one edge of the track slides under the fascia’s L-trim and the other edge is fixed with a color-matched screw. The result is a straight, permanent line fastened to the soffit, so nothing is clipped to your shingles or hung from the gutters. Most installations can be finished in as little as one day, depending on size.
How Your Install Works
Four steps from the first conversation to the first night your roofline lights up.
-
Step 1: Free quote
Tell us about your home. We look at the roofline, plan the runs and decide where the controller and power supply will sit.
-
Step 2: Track and color
Together we pick a track color to match your soffit and fascia, and we choose the profile that suits your trim.
-
Step 3: Installation
A trained crew mounts the track, sets every light and keeps the wiring out of sight. Many homes take as little as one day, depending on size.
-
Step 4: App setup
Before we leave, we connect the controller and walk you through the app, your first timers and a few favorite patterns.
Warm White or 16 Million Colors
Every track light holds three LEDs, and every LED carries red, green, blue and warm-white diodes. That dedicated warm white is why the everyday look works. White light comes from a true warm diode instead of a blend of colors, so brick, stone and siding look like themselves rather than pale and bluish.
When you want color, the same lights reach more than 16 million shades. You can set each light on its own to pick out the peaks, frame the front door or light the side path, then save that design and put it on a timer that follows sunset where you live.

What goes into the lights, the track and the install
- Dedicated Warm White Every light pairs red, green and blue with its own warm-white LED, so white light looks natural instead of tinted.

Lights
10 years
System parts
System parts: power kits, controllers, extensions, cables, connectors, and tracks.
Lifetime is defined by the manufacturer’s accelerated light testing: the lights are designed to last up to 50,000 hours, about 20 years at seven hours a day. How long the lights are actually used does not affect the warranty.
Register within 30 days
Register the warranty within 30 days of the original installation date. The warranty is not valid otherwise.
Selling your home
The warranty can be transferred once, within the 10-year warranty period, to a new homeowner who contacts Gemstone Lights directly within 90 days of taking possession of the home. The new owner receives the remaining coverage up to a maximum of 2 years, provided at least 2 years remain; if less than 2 years remain, the new owner inherits the remaining balance.
Labor
Labor is not covered: Gemstone Lights is not responsible for labor or other costs to install warrantied products or parts. Your authorized dealer may offer its own labor warranty, so ask them.
Your Questions, Answered
It depends on the length of your roofline, how many stories and peaks the house has, which track profile your trim needs and where power is available. Every home is measured, so we give you a free, written quote after looking at your house rather than a number off a chart.
Very little. Gemstone’s own estimate takes an average home with 150 lights, each drawing its maximum of 1 watt on bright white, running 6 hours a day at $0.16 per kWh. That works out to about $4.34 a month, or $52.80 a year, and most colors draw less than bright white.
The track mounts to the soffit under the roof edge, with one side tucked under the fascia’s L-trim and the other fixed with a color-matched screw. It isn’t clipped to shingles or hung from gutters. We check your trim during the quote and choose the profile that suits it.
Yes. The track lighting system is IP67 rated, so heavy rain is not a problem, and its cables and lights are UV rated to keep working through long, sunny summers. The connections are sealed and waterproof.
The LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours, which is about 20 years at seven hours a night. The coverage for the lights and the system parts is set out in the warranty section above.
No. The system is only sold with professional installation by an authorized dealer, who plans the layout, mounts the track and sets up the controller. In North Atlanta that is our team, covering Gwinnett, Forsyth and North Fulton.
Yes. Patio lights and deck lights join an existing Gemstone Lights system and run from the same app, and flood lights are built for the same ecosystem. Many owners start with the roofline and add the rest later.
