Year-round Christmas lights used to mean the neighbor who never got around to taking the strings down. Permanent lights are the opposite. They sit in a slim track matched to your soffit and fascia, so in daylight you mostly see trim, and after dark they can be anything from a soft architectural glow to full Christmas color.
Most homeowners end up using warm white far more than any holiday pattern. It makes brick look richer, picks out the peaks of the roof and means you pull into a lit driveway every evening. Then, when a holiday, birthday or big game comes round, the same lights change in seconds.

Lights that stay up all year have to cope with everything an Atlanta year throws at them: July heat and humidity, afternoon thunderstorms, pollen season and the occasional winter freeze. The track lighting system is IP67 rated against water, the cables and lights are UV rated so the sun doesn't wear them down, and every connection is sealed.
The LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours, about 20 years at seven hours a night. If a light ever does fail, it unplugs from the track and a new one plugs in. Each light draws at most 1 watt at full bright white, so leaving them on every evening is easy on the power bill.

System parts: power kits, controllers, extensions, cables, connectors, and tracks.
Lifetime is defined by the manufacturer’s accelerated light testing: the lights are designed to last up to 50,000 hours, about 20 years at seven hours a day. How long the lights are actually used does not affect the warranty.
Register within 30 days
Register the warranty within 30 days of the original installation date. The warranty is not valid otherwise.
Selling your home
The warranty can be transferred once, within the 10-year warranty period, to a new homeowner who contacts Gemstone Lights directly within 90 days of taking possession of the home. The new owner receives the remaining coverage up to a maximum of 2 years, provided at least 2 years remain; if less than 2 years remain, the new owner inherits the remaining balance.
Labor
Labor is not covered: Gemstone Lights is not responsible for labor or other costs to install warrantied products or parts. Your authorized dealer may offer its own labor warranty, so ask them.
Year-Round Lighting FAQs
With a permanent system, yes. The lights are designed to stay outside year-round, sit in a color-matched track rather than hanging from clips, and can show warm white or any color, so they never look out of season.
Very little. Each light draws at most 1 watt at full bright white and less in other colors, and you can dim them or schedule shorter hours if you like.
The cables and lights are UV rated and the track lighting system is IP67 rated, with sealed, waterproof connections. They are built for heat, heavy rain, wind and freezing nights.
