Outdoor Security Lighting
That Runs Itself
Outdoor security lighting that comes on at dusk, lights every side of the house and answers to your phone. Gemstone Lights® Atlanta installs it as part of a permanent system for North Atlanta homes.
Light where it counts
Bright Light Around the Whole House
Good outdoor security lighting is mostly about getting rid of dark corners. Lights along the eaves sit high and spread out, so they wash the walls, windows, side yards and driveway below instead of throwing one hard cone of light by the garage. Anyone walking up to the house is walking into light.
With Gemstone lights that brightness comes from the same system you use for holidays. Switch to a bright white and the whole perimeter is lit evenly. Switch to warm white for a softer evening look, and still have every side of the house covered.
The track itself is explained on Residential Track Lights.
- Even light on every side of the house
- On at sunset, off at sunrise
- Control from anywhere
How it helps
Set Up Once, Lit Every Night
Timers follow sunrise and sunset where you live, so the lights are on whenever it is dark.
Keeps running offline
Timers are stored on the controller and keep running if the internet goes down.
Check in from anywhere
Away for the weekend? Turn the lights on or up from your phone over Wi-Fi or cellular data.
Turn everything to full brightness with Amazon Alexa or Google Home without finding your phone.
Zones
Run the back of the house brighter than the front, or light the side gate on its own.
Dimmable
Choose anywhere from 0 to 100%, so late-night light stays friendly to the neighbors.
Entries and paths
Brighter at the Doors, Softer Everywhere Else
Every light can be set on its own, so you can put the most light where it is needed. Run the section over the front door, the garage and the side gate at full bright white, and keep the rest of the roofline at a comfortable warm glow. Arriving home after dark, you step out of the car into a lit driveway and walk to a lit door.
If something wakes you at 2 a.m., one tap or one voice command turns the whole house to full brightness. A lit house is also kinder to doorbell and security cameras, which see far more when the walls and walkway in front of them are not in shadow.
Dark spots
Add Flood and Deck Lights for the Hard-to-Reach Places
Some corners are too far from the roofline to light well: a long side yard, the far end of the driveway, a wooded back lot or the steps down from a deck. Ground-mounted flood lights reach the first three, with their wiring buried so nothing trips you up. Flush-mounted deck lights in the stair treads and risers take care of the last one.
Both join the same system, so they switch on with the roofline at sunset, follow the same zones and respond to the same app and voice commands.

Security Lighting FAQs
Yes. A sunset-to-sunrise timer is the most common setup. Each light draws at most 1 watt at full bright white, and the LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours, about 20 years at seven hours a night.
Sunrise and sunset timers live on the controller, so the schedule keeps running without the internet. You lose remote control until it comes back, not the lights themselves.
Yes. The Gemstone Lights app works over Wi-Fi or cellular data, so you can change brightness, colors or schedules from anywhere.
You set the brightness, from 0 to 100%, for the whole system or for each zone. Many homeowners run bright white at the doors and a dimmer warm white along the rest of the house.
No. The track is matched to your trim and the lights are nearly invisible by day. At night the same system can run warm white, holiday patterns or game day colors, so it does double duty.
It depends on how much of the house you want lit, the shape of the roofline and whether you add flood or deck lights. We measure and quote for free, so request your quote.
